Guidelines to Hosting a Meet

Please be sure to have all information out at least a month in advance so information may be posted online.

All registration and payment must be received by the Friday two weeks prior to the meet.

Host gyms must send a confirmation email stating entries have been received.

All meets must not be longer than 2 sessions (with the exception of state)

Be considerate to traveling gyms and not run late sessions on Sunday afternoons, because they are school nights.

Registration cutoff dates are two weeks prior to the meet so that information regarding times can be posted one week prior.

All meets have a $25.00 registration fee, with the exception of state which is $30.00. The RecOp program is a low cost program and no meets should require two night stays in a hotel.

Be sure to have sufficient room in your gym to host a meet and enough help so that the meet runs as quickly and smoothly as possible.

All meets require a six judge panel. (State requires 2 judges on all events) No family members of competing gymnasts are allowed to judge.

At the state meet no 2 judges from the same gym can be allowed on the same event.

If a coach obstructs the judge’s view without notification while spotting their gymnast may be deducted -0.5

Host gyms must provide at least 2 beams so gymnasts are able to warm up.  (30 sec one touches on the competition beam are allowed)

Bump Rotate!

Judges are paid $40.00 a session.

Have some sort of refreshments/hospitality for the judges and other coaches.

Admissions to all meets are $2 per adult $1 per child.

Please make sure to order awards for the meets so they are all the same.

Age groups are determined by the age of the gymnast on the day of each meet.

Team awards go to the top 3 teams per division.  Team awards are scored by the top 4 scores of each team regardless of age division.

Individual event awards go out 6 places or less depending on group size.

All around awards are given to approximately the top 60%. All gymnasts must be awarded an achievement award  in All Around.

The meet schedule is determined in the annual summer meeting, so if you would like to host a meet next year please be sure to contact Adriane Stewart at sgarecop@seattlegymnastics.com for more information.
